Guiding the way: Exploring the symbolism of the Lighthouse

Many have asked why is there a picture of a Lighthouse on your page.

The lighthouse reminds me that no matter what we are going through, someone is guiding us. Lighthouses symbolize the stages and challenges we face on our spiritual paths, and ascending the lighthouse tower represents our quest for enlightenment and self-discovery.

“It’s a symbol that there is a light within me, even when I don’t feel it.” Moreover, the light will guide me to safety and get me through the storm that was going on in my life. Just like the Light in the Lighthouse guided sailors to avoid crashing into the rocks below.

Lighthouses symbolize personal and spiritual growth. By integrating this symbolism into our spiritual practices, we can use its transformative power to guide our journeys of self-discovery and enlightenment through meditation, visualization exercises, and art.

As in any trial, we feel alone. The lighthouse is a symbol that reminds us we are not alone and that there is an undercurrent guiding us through trials. Reminding us to look within to be alone for self-reflection on what it is that we need to work on. Without trying to go within our world can seem like it’s in an upheaval. We could drown in it.

When we end up on the other side of this trial we can look back and see the light shining brightly beaconing us to its safe harbor. It reminds us of what we went through we are safe now and we are stronger than before. We stand taller, we have more confidence and more appreciation for life.
